Palazzetto dello Sport

Si svolgeranno a Petrosino i “Campionati del Mondo & Golden Cup 2019” di Arti Marziali. La manifestazione sportiva, organizzata dalla Martial Kombat Sport Italia e patrocinata dal Comune, è in programma da venerdì 11 a domenica 13 ottobre al Palazzetto dello Sport. Una tre giorni che vedrà sfidarsi nelle varie discipline atleti provenienti da 19 Paesi.
“Abbiamo deciso di ospitare i mondiali di arti marziali perché crediamo nello sport e nei valori educativi che veicola soprattutto tra i giovani”, evidenzia il Sindaco Gaspare Giacalone. “Petrosino è pronta ad accogliere gli atleti, i loro accompagnatori e tutti gli appassionati di questa disciplina sportiva nel migliore dei modi, con l’ospitalità della nostra comunità, con le bellezze naturalistiche e con tutte le nostre eccellenze eno-gastronomiche”. La cerimonia di inaugurazione si terrà venerdì 11 ottobre, con inizio alle ore 11,30. Prevista la presenza degli “Sbandieratori di Vicari” e della star cinematografica Zara Phythian. A portare i saluti saranno il Sindaco Giacalone e il presidente della Federazione Mondiale del Martial Kombat, Dave Wong.
Questo il programma delle gare:
- venerdì 11 ottobre dalle ore 14,30 alle ore 19,30;
- sabato 12 ottobre dalle ore 10 alle ore 19;
- domenica 13 ottobre dalle ore 10 alle ore 17.
Le premiazioni si terranno subito dopo la conclusione della gare. Gli atleti si
sfideranno nelle seguenti discipline: kata tradizionali e moderni, self defence, point fighting, light contact,kick light, full contact, kick boxing e K1 style. L’intera manifestazione verrà trasmessa in streaming sulla piattaforma “Storm Fighters Tv”.
