Dopo la cerimonia di commemorazione dei defunti, le manifestazioni celebrative del mese di novembre proseguono lunedì 4 novembre con la Giornata Nazionale dell’Unità, delle Forze Armate e del Combattente: prevista la Celebrazione della Santa Messa nella Basilica Cattedrale del S.S. Salvatore officiata dal Vescovo Mons. Domenico Mogavero alle ore 11. Subito dopo, formazione del Corteo che da piazza della Repubblica si porterà al Monumento ai Caduti per la Patria del lungomare Mazzini, dove saranno resi gli onori militari e deposta una corona di alloro. Il Sindaco Salvatore Quinci ha affidato il discorso commemorativo al prof. Danilo Di Maria.
– Martedì 12 novembre sarà celebrata la Giornata Nazionale della Memoria dei Marinai Scomparsi in Mare. Il programma prevede: alle ore 11,00 Santa messa di suffragio officiata nella Basilica Cattedrale; ore 12,00 Deposizione della corona di alloro al monumento ai Caduti del Mare.
