LA DIA DI TRAPANI CONFISCA IL PATRIMONIO DI UN IMPRENDITORE
DI CAMPOBELLO DI MAZARA (TP) PER UN VALORE COMPLESSIVO
DI OLTRE 4 MILIONI DI EURO
La DIA di Trapani, con provvedimento emesso dal Tribunale, ha confiscato il patrimonio dell’imprenditore di Mazara del Vallo (TP) DI GIORGI Vito, giudicato, già nel 1996, persona socialmente pericolosa dal medesimo Tribunale che gli aveva inflitto la misura della “sorveglianza speciale di p.s. con obbligo di soggiorno nel comune di residenza…per la durata di anni quattro” (ridotta nel giudizio d’appello ad anni tre) per “gravi indizi in ordine alla sua appartenenza alla consorteria mafiosa operante nel territorio di Mazara del Vallo, già facente capo a Mariano Agate”.
In quel procedimento confluirono gli esiti di una vasta indagine giudiziaria, in cui rimasero coinvolti, tra gli altri, noti personaggi locali quali il notaio FERRARO Pietro Giuseppe, l’ex sindaco di Mazara del Vallo (TP) BOCINA Gaspare, gli imprenditori mafiosi CUTTONE Antonino e AGATE Giovanbattista (fratello del boss Mariano), che portò alla luce sia l’illecita ingerenza dell’organizzazione mafiosa nella gestione degli appalti pubblici, che l’esistenza di connessioni tra organizzazioni mafiose e ambienti massonici “deviati”, utilizzati da “cosa nostra” per quell’opera di infiltrazione e condizionamento dei settori istituzionali meno impermeabili all’influenza mafiosa.
Vi furono, infatti, alcuni stralci di conversazioni telefoniche e ambientali, da cui emerse per esempio il tentativo di “aggiustare”, attraverso opportune amicizie in ambienti massonici, un processo a carico del noto mafioso BASTONE Giovanni, che si sarebbe dovuto celebrare a Trapani.
Venne alla luce, in sostanza, l’esistenza di una fitta rete di collegamenti tra “uomini d’onore” e personaggi della massoneria deviata, utilizzati da “cosa nostra” per influenzare quei processi in cui l’organizzazione risultava interessata.
Nello stesso contesto giudiziario, al DI GIORGI venne confiscata la propria quota di partecipazione in seno alla SIMED s.r.l., centro degli interessi economici della sua famiglia, che, però, continuò a gestire occultamente per circa un ventennio.
Ne è riprova l’operazione economica da lui posta in essere nel 2007, allorché l’Agenzia del Demanio (poi sostituita dall’Agenzia dei Beni Confiscati) avviò le procedure per la dismissione, mediante vendita, delle quote di capitale della predetta società.
Nella circostanza, il DI GIORGI, con la complicità di compiacenti professionisti, pose in essere un’articolata sequenza di operazioni finanziarie, immobiliari e societarie attraverso le quali riuscì a trasferire fittiziamente ad altre ditte intestate a suoi familiari, parte rilevante del patrimonio immobiliare della SIMED s.r.l., ottenendo anche degli indebiti e sostanziosi risparmi d’imposte.
L’articolato sistema fraudolento, ricostruito dalla DIA di Trapani attraverso accurate indagini patrimoniali, è stato avvallato anche dalle perizie disposte dallo stesso Tribunale procedente che, nel 2016, su proposta avanzata dal Direttore della DIA d’intesa con il Procuratore della Repubblica Distrettuale di Palermo, ha dapprima disposto il sequestro dei suoi beni e, con l’odierno provvedimento, la confisca dell’intero patrimonio.
L’attività ha interessato compendi aziendali, immobili, capitali sociali delle società coinvolte nell’operazione di trasferimento fraudolento di beni (SIMED s.r.l., ERIS s.r.l., VISIT SICILY s.r.l. e DI GIORGI COSTRUZIONI), nonché risorse finanziarie ritenute d’illecita provenienza, per un valore complessivo stimato in oltre 4 milioni di euro.
