Nella serata di domenica 9 febbraio, i Carabinieri della Sezione Radiomobile di Marsala e della Stazione di Ciavolo, hanno tratto in arresto in flagranza di reato, il 41enne marsalese GUSMANO Giacomo, sorpreso a rubare all’interno di una ditta di materiale edile.
In particolare, durante un servizio di controllo del territorio, i militari venivano allertati dalla Centrale Operativa dell’Arma, in quanto era giunta al 112 la segnalazione della presenza di un uomo travisato all’interno dei locali di un’azienda, oggi inattiva, sita in via Mazara. L’immediato intervento di due pattuglie, permetteva di rintracciare all’interno di un seminterrato un uomo travisato da sciarpa, cappuccio ed occhiali scuri, il quale, alla vista dei Carabinieri, si era nascosto tra gli scaffali dell’azienda.
L’uomo veniva dunque identificato nel GUSMANO, già noto alle Forze dell’Ordine per i sui precedenti, il quale veniva trovato in possesso di uno zaino contenente circa 25 chilogrammi di materiale ferroso appena asportato, oltre a quattro borse in tela pronte per essere riempite.
Il GUSMANO veniva quindi bloccato e condotto presso la Caserma “Silvio Mirarchi” di Marsala dove, al termine degli accertamenti di rito, veniva dichiarato in stato di arresto per furto aggravato, mentre la merce asportata veniva restituita al legittimo proprietario.
Nella giornata di lunedì, il giudice lilybetano, oltre a convalidare l’arresto operato dai Carabinieri, stabiliva nei confronti del pregiudicato marsalese la misura cautelare degli arresti domiciliari con braccialetto elettronico.
Tale arresto si inserisce in un piano di controllo del territorio elaborato dalla Compagnia Carabinieri di Marsala, finalizzato alla prevenzione e repressione dei reati di natura predatoria che vengono perpetrati nelle zone nevralgiche della città, dal centro storico alla fascia costiera, e che vede impiegate pattuglie in uniforme ed in abiti civili soprattutto nelle ore serali e notturne.
